Explosion Isolation System
Block the fire's path - with explosion decoupling. The aim of explosion decoupling is to stop both the pressure wave and the flames, and to prevent the consequences of the explosion from spreading. There is a difference between active and passive decoupling. Passive decoupling systems react purely through the effects of the explosion itself. Active systems use pressure sensors or optical sensors to detect an explosion, and activate appropriate countermeasures. They are based on the seamless interplay of detection, control and decoupling components.
The systems from ATEX for explosion decoupling are suitable both for plant with reduced-pressure containers as well as for maximum explosion pressure.
